Malawi

Post by Wheels »

I have started to plan a trip via Pafuri to Malawi. This will be a 3to4 week trip in the June school holiday.
Have you guys got any advice on the best route to follow?
I know there are still areas with landmine warnings allong the way.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Yes, Mike is a good resource for the Moz leg.

June: your Mapai crossing will not look like this :-):

almost 200m wide, 1.4m deep on the far side - across the river, 2 drowned Cruisers pumping water out of engines

If you haven't been to Malawi. My highlights.
Mount Mulanje
Monkey Bay
Chinthechi
Cape McClear
Nyika Plateau
Awesome country

The last time I crossed at Mapai the Limpopo was bone dry.
Thanks for the information. What route did you follow to get to Malawi?
