Malawi
Malawi
I have started to plan a trip via Pafuri to Malawi. This will be a 3to4 week trip in the June school holiday.
Have you guys got any advice on the best route to follow?
I know there are still areas with landmine warnings allong the way.
Any advice will be appreciated.

Re: Malawi
Hi Wheels,
Unfortunately I havn`t been up to Malawi yet, but please keep us posted on your plans as it sounds like an awesome trip.
Hope some of the others can add something useful.
Good Luck,
Ross

Re: Malawi
Yes, Mike is a good resource for the Moz leg.
June: your Mapai crossing will not look like this :-):
almost 200m wide, 1.4m deep on the far side - across the river, 2 drowned Cruisers pumping water out of engines
If you haven't been to Malawi. My highlights.
Mount Mulanje
Monkey Bay
Chinthechi
Cape McClear
Nyika Plateau
Awesome country

Re: Malawi
The last time I crossed at Mapai the Limpopo was bone dry.
Thanks for the information. What route did you follow to get to Malawi?
