Just happen to be reading my manual for the first time :redface: re. hubs on the Y61 (with 2 way lock free running hubs).

Did you know:

Hubs in Auto position: 2H->4H (shift) at up to 40km/hr

Hubs in Lock position: 2H->4H (shift) at up to 80km/hr
Nissan Patrol, GRX, 4.8 (GU Y61)

Explain a bit what you mean by the life of the cv joints.

EK vang ook nie G-man,of bedoel jy,wanner jy in 4x4 is en die hub in auto,dan lock en release die hub en sit onnodige load op die cv.Ek dink ook as dit die geval is sal die hub breek lank voor die cv.
