Ek was al in 'n situasie waar ek op los klippe my Patrol in 4x4 moes sit om oor die weg te kom :redface: terwyl die difflock alleen of permanente 4x4 die ding sou gedoen het. Dit kan nogal embarrassing wees.

LOL, G-man, dis presies hoekom ek besig is met dieselfde mod op my Triton hierdie naweek. 2wd drifting is soveel meer pret met die diff-lock aan :biggrin:

Ek kon niemand kry wat dit al op die Triton gedoen het nie, so ek moes dit self uit figure, wat nie maklik is as jy so min van electrickery weet soos ek, maar die prinsiep behoort dieselfde te wees.

Daar is 4 maniere wat ek kon uit figure.

Die diff-lock switch kry dalk sy krag eers na jy 4wd engage het, so jy moet eksterne 12V op die daardie draad van die ratkas af sit en hom laat dink hy is reeds in 4wd.

Die 2de manier is, kyk watter draad voer 12V aan die diff-lock kompressor/meganisme en sit dan 'n 2de skakelaar in wat 12V aan daardie draad kan voer. Dis nou as daai draad direk van die kompressor/meganisme tot by die switch hardloop.

Die eerste metode wou nie werk op die Triton want ek kry geen 12V sein as ek hom in 4wd sit, so ek gaan vanoggend kyk of die 12V draad na my diff-lock kompressor direk van die skakelaar af kom.

As dit nie werk, gaan ek na metode 3, ek sal 'n draad moet lê van die nuwe skakelaar tot by die kompressor.

My skakelaar het 5 drade en dit confuse my, so in plaas van karring aan daai drade, gaan ek eerder 'n eksterne skakelaar bysit.

Die 4de en eenvoudigste manier is as jou skakelaar net eenvouding krag deur laat na die diff-lock meganisme, sit net permanente 12V aan sy agterkant en jy is uitgesort.

Blaasoppie's diff lock engage in normal 2 wheel drive - but then I don't have the new models like you guys so I don't know if that makes a difference?? :think:

Have you tried just switching on the diff lock whilst in normal 2 wheel drive??

Hi Pieter. My Patrol sin engage nie, net in 4wd. Daar is seker n maklike manier om die difflock in 2wd storie, wag net vir iemand om my te vertel. :pray: Het jy al daai agter difflock van jou laat nasien?

Staan tans by Claude - gat in die lig en diff lock is uit. Het Vrydag gaan kyk - tande is "gestrip" - maar dit is n splinternuwe diff lock wat nog nie eers 2 maande terug ingesit is nie!! :surprised: Ek wag nou vir Motorite se assessor om uit te kom en te kom kyk - en dan begin die groot :argument:!!

G-Man,Op jou kar se ratkas is daar switches was verskillende funksies het,onderandere een wat n skakelaar is sodra jy 4x4 select sit hy die 4x4 liggie op die dash aan en maak die hek oop vir n klomp funksies ook.Soek daai switch en brug hom net,geen 12v,die 4x4 ligge sal aan kom en jou kar is nog in 4x2.Toets die difflock,en dan sideways. :thumbup:
