PATROL Towing Hook Bolts

My Troll is fitted with an ARB Bull Bar. I would seem that when the Bull Bar was fitted that the OEM Towing Hook was removed. I have no recovery points/towing points in front (bought the vehicle like this).

Louis Naude (Aries66) was so kind to donate to me a Patrol Recovery/Towing hook.

This hook is normally secured to the chassis with three high tensile steel bolts.

Peter Connan provided me with the specs, but I am having difficlty in sourcing the bolts. None of the specialist bolt suppliers in Pretoria have these bolts. I have also tried various Nissan Spares outlets and a number of 4x4 stores, but to no avail. Various Midas and Autozone outlets could not help either.

Can somebody please provide me with some guideance as to how I can source these bolts locally. I have a 1998 4500e GRX (M).

These bolts are either non-standard, or I measured like my backside. Either is quite possible.

I am seeing a friend this evening who'se car still has the hook attached, I will ask him to come in his Patrol (although it may already be too late) and if possible I will measure on a bolt, which is much easier than trying to measure a hole.

Sal een van myne vannaand afhaal, moet elk geval nuwe HT gegradeerde boute kry.
Hulle het my laasjaar op die AAWDC Funday gepenaliseer oor ek nog NISSAN boute op gehad het.
Ek weet wel dit is 'n baie fyn skroef draad wat hulle op daai drie boute gebruik.

Die boute wat Nissan op gesit het in die fabriek is die regtes!

I got some at Northern Bolt supplies in Midrand.

My hook and bolts are stil llying around in my garage as it doesnt fit with the bash plate uless i make a chaneg or two i can measure wehn imm back form KZN on monday

Louis Naude (Aries66) arrived at my place today with a set of brand new high tensile bolts he sourced from an outlet in Pretoria.

My towing hook is now fitted.
