4.8 GRX air con belt tensioning
On holiday in Kosi Bay area. Aircon belt starting to slip on startup. Where do I tighten the belt. Difficult to see the belt tensioner from above. Japie van Pletzen.

Undo the idler pulley's center nut, adjust with the tensioner bolt, then tighten the center nut again. Cold belt deflection is specified as 9mm between the aircon & crankshaft pulleys at the bottom.

Correction, it is my power steering belt that is a bit loose. Never adjusted it, but it is more loose now than what it was.SJC wrote: ↑26 Dec 2023 06:37do you perhabs have the "diagram" for the tb42?ChristoSlang wrote: ↑24 Dec 2023 19:28 Undo the idler pulley's center nut, adjust with the tensioner bolt, then tighten the center nut again. I also need to adjust my aircon belt (on tb42).
So I need to do it now.

Re: 4.8 GRX air con belt tensioning
So when adjusting the power steering belt, do you just adjust it by the "adjusting bolt" on the power steering pump pully?ChristoSlang wrote: ↑24 Dec 2023 19:28 Undo the idler pulley's center nut, adjust with the tensioner bolt, then tighten the center nut again. This straight forward?
