Great, thanks!

So presumably any transaxle oil will be compatible? some state hypoid, others not,so I always wonder...

Are there any other parts of the drivetrain with hypoid gears?

noun: hypoid gear
a bevel wheel with teeth engaging with a spiral pinion mounted at right angles to the wheel's axis, used to connect non-intersecting shafts in vehicle transmissions and other mechanisms.

Other than maybe on some 4x4 vehicles with portal axles, I know of nothing else that does, off hand

These gears generate extreme pressure on their teeth surfaces, hence the need for EP (Extreme Pressure) oil.

Note that the "EPX" stands for extreme pressure.
This is specifically for hypoid gears.

Thus EPX and Hypoid are sinonyms in terms of the oil.
