But now Im having thoughts that it might make sense to rather get an older one, like a GQ, and be able to pay for it cash instead of getting in debt.
Tough choice at the moment though, as that 4.8 looks fantastic!

My Advice Graham, Go for the 4.8 if you take care of it, it will last you many many many years, I did the route you are thinking of, first got the GQ then sold that and bought the 4.5 GU then sold that and bought the 4.8 GU, vehical that I am happiest with is the 4.8 and it will stay with me for many years to come! I agree with Ian. Buy the truck that will satisfy your itch. I have a 4.5 and this truck makes me itch. One of those itches that can only be scratched by a 4.8.
