Hello!
On my car I have still a kenyan made Roofrack - means, that it is very unusefull, full of cracks, made from very thin aluminium and fixed with rusty bolts.
I want to replace it with a Thule roofrack system, perfekt to carry my big white box.
Are these parts available for a reasonale price in your country?
It is a complete different system (here in Germany).
We have only 4-8 feet and a bar between two opposite feet.
Perfect for me, because I have only one very big box on the roof. It is useless to cary a lot of small boxes.

Frank,
I was in Ebermannstadt second half of Sept and first half of Oct.
I should have tried to meet up with you for a real German beer.
Will have to keep it in mind next time in that area.
Good luck with the Thule.

Thanks for the pics
That looks like its ok to carry a canoe on tar or similar job
Not for dirt and overlanding .....i herd that they are selling nice ones at 4x4 mega world for about 5 k or so .....what we forget is what ever you put up there becomes a slide hammer when you hit the dirt. ....that tule dont look strong enough. ...but thats just my opinion
I had a Thuli rack before. It is very good for the light work it is designed for. If you want to do offroading or overlanding it is not in the league of African Outback or other similar systems. I now use an African Outback roofrack and it is very well suited for heavier work like overlanding. Thuli is also quite expensive for the work it is capable of doing. If you are going to load a heavy box, then rather go for something more robust than the Thuli system.
