SERVICE HISTORY:
Partial. I have all invoices of the work that was done on the car since I bought it with 215000 km on the clock. Since I have owned the car, I have spared no expense to maintain the vehicle as well as possible and to attend to little things that were not perfect.
CONDITION:
Good.
Mechanically the car is great. It has not been a hangar queen though, i.e. it has done some work off the beaten track, so there are some bush pin stripes on the paint work (nothing that wouldn't buff out, though) and the left hand front mudflap was attacked at some point in the distant past by a dog.
I would not hesitate to jump in and depart on a long trip into unknown lands...
The car has all the usual GRX refinements and everything works, including the duel tank fuel transfer system, rear diff lock, original Nissan radio receiver/tape deck, CD shuttle, electric windows, electric mirrors, electric tilt/slide sunroof, dual air conditioning, etc.
MODIFICATIONS:
1) Powerflow stainless steel exhaust system (both silencers are of the free flow type)
2) Powerbrake front disc brake and pad set
3) Ironman coil springs (approximately 2" lift)
4) TJM XGS shock absorbers and steering damper
5) Set of 5 BFG Mud Terrain KM2 tyres (285/75R16). These have still got about 60% to 70% life remaining
6) EDIT: Oops, I forgot to add that the front brake lines have also been extended to prevent tension on them under extreme rebound travel.
EXTRAS:
Montegra nudge bar. It is much more sturdy than the typical Excalibur type, but it is not a proper bull bar.
RECENT MAINTENANCE ITEMS:
1) Engine mountings replaced (both sides)
2) New clutch at 240000 km (genuine Nissan clutch friction plate, pressure plate, release bearing and pilot bearing fitted)
3) Gearbox input shaft oil seal and crankshaft rear main oil seal replaced as preventive maintenance measures when clutch was done
4) Plastic radiator tanks changed to aluminium
5) New full set of cooling system hoses (all 8 items replaced with new genuine Nissan items)
6) 250000 km service just done
