Berakah, Grant, Sonja, Cedric, Lana & Alex

Post by Alex Roux »

Hi all

I did not take that many pictures as I did not have a co-driver!
So I will post mine and then Grant and Cedric can add.

Thunder and rain caught us in the middle of the course.
I was in the middle of an obstacle. That was a little nerv-wracking.

I drove Berakah a few weeks after I bought my Patrol more (some two & a half years ago). It was during the rainy season, but at least it was not raining at the time. Due to the width of our vehicles I found the first section (next to the river) to be the toughest to negotiate - we had to perform some multi-point turns to get through the trees! The rest was a matter of aim and let the suspension and low-down torque do the rest

Oh... and Rhino Hill was also closed then already. There was no gate & lock yet, but we were told in no uncertain terms that it was off-limits...

oooops....I better get Lana's camera and get them pics loaded..... its wild at work .....

I must say Berakah is a grea course..... but doing it in the pouring rain .... with lightning/thunder cracking next to you.... made my boxer shorts into a g-string :buttred: :wedgie:

I was even concerned on muddies at times in the rain with wet slippery loose rocks..... and some serious downhills.... would hate to know what was happening between Alex's seat cover and his as....oops donkey..... :rolling:

   .... IT WAS FANTASTIC !!!!!..... but I really must get rock sliders :surprised: :surprised: :surprised:

After knocking my front left mudguard on a rock, Witblits is now with Ben for its sliders. So I should have them for Moegatle.
Christo, you are right about that narrow section at the start...no permanent damage though
