Engine spares for a TB45E 2001 GRX

Hi Everybody, I am a new member looking for help. I have a sick 2001 petrol, straight 6 fuel injection Patrol. Long story short... but I managed to break a valve which went through the top of the piston, damaged the sleeve, broke the conrod and came out in a hand-sized hole through the sump. This was two years ago and I am still struggling. Nissan SA, two years ago wanted R75k for a sub-assembly!! I have someone who so far has: manufactured new valves, skimmed the head, re-sleeved the damaged sleeve in the block, reground the crank, and fixed the hole in the sump. I am now short of a single conrod, which I cannot seem to find anywhere.
Can anyone help? An alternate is to try and buy another motor? I love my Patrol and don't want to lose it.

Eish Peter, that's bad.

I don't know whether the conrods of the 4.5 (like you have) and the 4.2 are the same. If you can send me journal and small-end diameters, I can try and check at least that in the manual. If those are the same, I know of a couple of guys who had (and I am sure the one still has) 4.2 motors available second hand. The length might still be different, but I reckon it's worth looking?

If that doesn't work, or perhaps anyway, PM Nikolai B, he works for Euro 4x4 spares, maybe he can assist?

Just wanted to thank Jeanne Volschenk and everyone else for their friendliness and help. I posted here in February looking for spares, was able to get all I needed from Jeanne and ended the saga of my 2001 Patrol 4.5 GRX having been off the road for nearly three years!!
So far I have done less than a 1 000kms before re-tightening the head, but she is purring
Only challenge was filling her with petrol R1 500+ before the latest increase
