Hi guys!
My 99 GL seems to have a problem with it's back left shock mounting - on closer inspection it seems the shock has actually popped off the bolt where it was held. No damage though.
When I fitted my ironman suspension the guy told me that it (the mounting) was a bit dodge, but he managed to get it on and that I might have to get it fixed in the future. Well, it seems that time has arrived. Can you guys recommend someone who can fix it? I was thinking of taking it to that 4x4 megaworld on william nicol, but not sure if they'll be able to help?
Thanks!

Re: Shock Mounting
Hiya,
an update here.
I went to the friendly guys over and 4x4 megaworld in fourways, and the checked it out. Turns out the bolt that the shock mounts onto is stripped... they tried to get a nut back on with limited success.
So I have two options:
a) rethread the bolt so a smaller size nut can fit on it, or
b) try get that bracket from the stealership and get someone to CO2 weld it on there for me
Not fantastic, but I suppose it could be worse. I reckon I can stay on tar for now, just no off-roading till I get this sorted.
If anyone knows of a good place that can weld the bracket for me, please let me know.
Thanks!
