Rear windscreen wiper help required

Has anybody with a GQ had any problems with rear windscreen wiper? Mine has stopped working a while ago, I have checked the fuse is still fine, neither the water nor the wiper is working. Where would be the first place to check for some life.
also the main electrical window console by the driver for my window works perfectly everytime and then on the other sometimes not, but I can at the individual doors operate the windows. Are there any parts there that one can clean to improve contact ? Why when I open or close the other windows from my console do the window moves very slowely, when I use the switch at the actual door it moves more rapidly.
Shalom
Jules

Hi Jules , quite new to the Patrol scene but as an Auto Lec by trade id say you have some arced conctacts in the main window switch , can be cleaned but be careful they tend to come apart easilly bit not go back together so easilly
Have had rear wiper issues on scimilar vehicles and almost always found the wires to be broken of where they go from the body into the door as the door gets used a lot and wires dont like flexing that much - unsure though if the patrols run through in the same fashion , only get ours tom so i cant even go and check for you
Just my 2 cents worth

Jules there is a solenoid in the door, in front of the switches. Clean this and the window switches with switch cleaner or alcohol, maybe it works. As Driko said, be carefull when dismantling switches. Partucularly on our old cars, the plastick becomes brittle, but if you do open the switches, a little bit of ghrease on the contacts might also work marvels.
When I got my car the rear windscreen wiper did not work, and it turned out to be the switch.
Ek dink jy gaan maar vir jou 'n multimeter moet koop en begin vroetel?

Yes Jules, in the driver's door above the speaker.
My recommendation for a multimeter is to try and get one whith a clamp that can measure DC current, as this helps a lot in monitoring dual battery system charging issues. I have a Mojortech MT777, which is very nice. This particular multimeter also has a temperature probe which can measure up to I think 1000C.

Great,
Jammer ons het nie meer gesels op die 60 GTG. Before you decided what you want, go onto the internet and google drawer systems. Below is an example. After you have decided that is it, call SWAMBO because see has to agree. Good Luck
