Standard Y60 rear coil springs
Does anybody have a set of Y60 (GQ) patrol rear coils lying around?
I have a friend who wants to see if they can be used on a Hyundai Terracan, which some say is very closely based on the S2 Pajero.
Thanks

Re: Standard Y60 rear coil springs
Peter, I am afraid that I am going to rain on your mate's parade.
There is a bit of Pajero Gen 2 DNA in the Terror-Can, but unfortunately the rear suspension is very different on the two. The 'Can uses rear coil springs that are quite a bit smaller (104 mm vs. 145 mm, I think) in outside diameter than the Pajero (or Patrol), so it won't quite be a plug-and-play effort.

Re: Standard Y60 rear coil springs
Mac, you are not far wrong. The Terrano springs are indeed around 106 mm diameter, but as far as I know the wire diameter used in those Terrano rear coils is of a significantly lighter gauge than that used in the Terracan coils while the free lengths are similar, so I think you would have reduced ride height in a 'Can with Terrano coils. Then you just need 20" bling rims to complete the lookKagiso II wrote:Hmmm - that sounds a bit like the TERRANO springs size ??? miskien kan jy daai een naspeur P/ter?
