Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

Hi Guys,

I purchased my Patrol GRX 2006 4.8 from a dealer about 5 weeks ago. The salesman warned me about the open door warning light that will go on when driving over a rough surface...which I was told is common problem with Patrols? (Apparently the back door?) I've tried to research this phenomenon, but have yet to come across anyone else with the problem. Have any of you guys have experience with this? I really want to get it sorted as it's very irritating!

I have the same with 2002 GRX Patrol - but the *&((*&%&*^$(*)&_)(*)_))*& LIEG vir you - lies to you - it is NOT common - it is an adjustment of the latch / catch of the rear door

I have the same on my 2000 4.2TD but it the RH passenger door. Spend half a Saterday to find the culpret, fix it, for a week.
Think of just disconnecting it.

Just put a piece of rubber on the spot where the door touch the switch so that there is a bit more movement on the switch's side.

All my Patrols did it until I adjusted the rear door!

Funny how some irratating little things can occur with some vehicles - I have never ever had this problem - and my car is the same model as oom Mac's and is the better part of 9 years old!!!

In fact none of the electronics on my car has ever given me any problems!!

It surely amazes me how things from the same brand can have there little irratations.!!

Thanks for the feedback guys! One rubber shim/pad sticker on the switch on the back door sorted it.

Hi Guys
I have a2003 GRX and have the same problem
Put some double sided tape to ensure good contact but did'nt fix it
Took all of the switches out and serviced them, still no fix
Mine has been like this for over a year
Any other possible fixes????
