A fiend in Bloem offers a 3.0Di Patrol engine to any interested buyer. It is an imported engine in perfect condition and complete. It was imported as a replacement for a Hard Body bakkie, only to find out when it got here that it does not match the Hard Body's management system. Price - R25000. By the way, this proof 2 points to me:
1. The Patrol and Hard Body engines indeed differ from each other. Apparently the main difference manifests in the Hard Body ECU's inability to manage the VV-Turbo and the subsequent fueling system.
2. The Hard Body is a local manufactured vehicle and its engine does not live in any vehicle in Japan. The imported 3.0Di engines will therefore all likely be Patrol engines.
