Nissan 4x4 club invite Patrol owners to fun events
Hello all at the Patrol forum,
The Nissan 4x4 club would like to invite all Patrol drivers to join us the following events/fun days.
Last year, we kicked the Hilux and Isuzu clubs’ butts, so we can drive a bit…..;-)))
Would like to enter a Patrol team (so need your help), as we have lots of HBs, Navaras, Safaris ready to go.
Kind regards
Vaughn

Re: Nissan 4x4 club invite Patrol owners to fun events
Vaughn you need to realize that some of us Patrol drivers don't really know how to drive at all.
In a Patrol, you just press a couple of buttons, point it at the obstacle and close your eyes. When you open them again, your Patrol is standing other side the obstacle. Personally I am not sure if they actually drive over the obstacle, I have a suspision they either go through or just fly over.
Anyway, I will try and attend a couple of your events later in the year, thanks for the invite.

I know (sigh) make everything seem ridiculously easyhttp://patrol4x4.co.za/posting.php?mode=reply&f=61&t=1732#. Another reason to stick to my HB - at least I know I have been on a trail, when I get through. http://patrol4x4.co.za/posting.php?mode ... =61&t=1732# And I love going where fully kitted Hiluxes go, with only a LSD.....http://patrol4x4.co.za/posting.php?mode ... =61&t=1732#
Regards the upcoming DCC, we will also be able to offer SAQA accredited training, regards attaining the necessary licences.
C u soon.

Re: Nissan 4x4 club invite Patrol owners to fun events
Hi Vaughn,
I will also try and attended but as Peter says. Trolls are unstopable, and most of the time we do not struggle. I have no lokkers and the LSD stoped working a while ago. On my last trip to the Bundu trail I was lucky enough to complete all the obstacles with no problem.
Also note that I have arranged a GTG for 20,21 May for the Troll members and we will be doing the Bundu Trail.

Hiya Grant, thx. Eish, bad timing.....
Sure, if you all already going to RdW the weekend before us, have fun.
Not sure whether any consideration could be given to joining the groups, on 28/29 instead? After pay day and all that....

Re: Nissan 4x4 club invite Patrol owners to fun events
Hi Stefan, thx.
The club has a few paid up, and on line, members based in Cape Town, although it seems they are not able to get events going there. Maybe the wine??? I have spoken to three different members, on separate occassions, regards getting events going, but no one seems keen.... same for Dbn, PE, Bloem, others.....
Where you based? Could you start a chapter in CT? As you may have seen, from other posts, we are pushing to become Nissan's 4x4 training partner, re CPA, and need capable Nissan owner/drivers in each main centre, with our Gauteng trainer/assessor support, to deliver the required monthly training, at accredited tracks, so local track knowledge is a prerequisite.

We also need guys in the Cape to help us with the AAWDC Charity Run on the 5th of June - up to now none of the 4x4 clubs in the Cape have advised us - the Nissan 4x4 Club - that they will help us.

I'm a capable owner (the Patrol makes me look more capable as a driver than I probably am

There are a lot of nice tracks in the Cape and I'm sure between the Patrol forum, the Nissan 4x4 forum and the SA4x4community forum we can generate sufficient interest
I'm keen on starting a WC chapter what do I need to do?
