My Y61 owners manual states that the 4.5 can use leaded or unleaded fuel of a research octane number (RON) higher than 88. From experience I know that my TB45E pings with anything lower than 95 octane at the coast. At sea level it sometimes pings on 95, but I put that down to fuel quality and air pressure (It seems to like Caltex fuel). At highveld altitude it does not ping at all with 95 octane fuel.

Moet my 1998 Y61 'n "beskermplaat" onder sy enjin hê?
Hel, ek het nou met my "nuwe" (240 000 km.) Patrol so amper 6000km gery en ek like hom sommer baie!
