new noise on start up
This morning after starting i had a big fright, sounded like bearings going or tappets. Oil light wa off and i stopped the engine immediatly. On the second start the samen start switch off, on the 3rd start not tappet bearing noise but eeeiiiiiccchh for 2 to 4 seconds after start and then gone. Could this be a sticky starter that initially ran with engine but no just spin after start making noises? How hard to remove and clean?

Re: new noise on start up

Re: new noise on start up
I remove and cleaned the starter, looks like the previous owner left the clutch in there and the gear slide was on teh stiff side. Cleanup very easily and can be remove and refitted without to much hassle.
