How much movement in the panhard bushes is too much?

I had a look underneath the car while the misses was turning the wheel and although there was no visible movement I detected some by pushing my finger between the rod and the plate next to the bushes bolt and then felt the rod would pinch my finger . Would that be to much movement then?

I realize that it could be dangerous and did not stick my finger all the way in, only enough to feel movement.

Hey Johndough,It has to move,its rubber,but it must not fall arround.
If you can see a gap to the one side off the bush,when the oppisite is under pressure,thats to much play.
