Forum Upgrade

Hello folks.

I am going to need to do some maintenance on the forum at some point.

The version of PHP (ie: the programming language this forum is built on) reached end of life in November last year and I'm going to need to look at an upgrade path shortly.

In short, at the moment, I am investigating an upgrade route for this as and when I have time. When I've figured out how to address the issues I've currently got, the following will be happening.

1: I'll be firing up a new web host.
2: The forum will be put in maintenance mode whilst I back everything up and similar.
3: The backups will be restored on the new host.
4: DNS records will be changed - this can take up to 8 hours.
5: The forum will be removed from maintenance mode.

In short: expect some disruptions. But I will notify everybody in advance.

And hope 2024 rocks for everyone. :)
