My sub takes exactly 40L
Normally when my reserve light comes on on main tank, I can ride about 70kms before engine dies.

The GQ chassis is almost identical to the GU shape chassis, so the sub tank I am busy with should fit no problem, I just need to check the mounting points for the tank to ensure that the tank cannot crack due to twisting of the chassis and vibrations.

That is why I am asking him first...... You measure in the rain and then Dirkie wants the other one......
Also much easier to ask Graham to do when he has a vehicle on the lift.....
I think that PC has a 65L aftermarket one under his GQ....

Cedric - Maybe check how the aftermarket 65 L tanks are mounted on the GU's on the opposite side. Don't know of cracking or mounting problems but the rerouting of the handbrake cable is not ideal which I think Errol has managed to get right on Manie's. Mine is still a problem.

I have the 120L long range. I want the sub tank. Prefably 60L but even 30 would help...

hahaha.... yeah you are right Dirk.... No time to play design design on the play things....
Stainless is notorious for cracking when subjected to constant, even small twists, so that's why its important to ensure that it get mounted properly. I learnt the hard way with the water tank I have on mine that was on there when I bought the Iron Maiden. I've had to do a few patch welds on it a couple of times. I have this issue well sorted out on the new GU sub tank design. I'll definitively check the hand brake cable first though.
