Hy lyk mooi op die foto, maar hy is nie perfek nie; daar is maar 'n dingetjie of twee om aan aandag te gee, maar dit is deel van die pret en is presies wat ek ook met die Patrol gedoen het.

Miskien kan jy 'n soortgelyke foto neem van die 80 series se fleks vir jou nuwe avatar. Dan kan ons dit ook vergelyk...

Gerrit. I cant see the photo, but what the hell, its an 80, and thats good enough for me. Well done. Nice to have a change, nothing wrong with that dude. One things for sure, finding little mods and fittings and cool aftermarket stuff for the 80 will be much easier and cheaper than it was for the Patrol. Im on the LC forum and the amount of cool stuff available for these things is insane, okes just giving this suff away.

What motor did you go for ?

Awesome. I assumed you were gonna say 4.5 but i thought they only came in Carb? However, as i write this i do remember a friend saying that there was a very small number of EFI motors fitted to the 80 before they went 105....?

Jis, thats a nice vehicle. Front and rear lockers with an EFI (i assume Auto box?), thats it, Gerrit is gone and never coming back! hahah. Very nice looking 80 too Gerrit, i love that colour too.

My mate has just bought a 100 GX and I drove it to Mafaking yesterday, its so close to the 4.5 Patrol except it got front diff lock. Was very impressed

Gerrit photographing a LC in the same position is going to cost you an arm & leg, skree as jy reg is dan gaan ons. Yip Martyn those LC100GX as very nice, my BIL had one sold it for a LC200, I drove the LC100 from Bethal to Kranspoort and also enjoyed it but what was interesting is that travelling 120km/h with the LC the rev counter was on 2500 where my Patrol GQ 4.2 carb runs 120km/h on 2200revs
