Their is no way that a koolstoof will clear that dune. Michael, we'll have to start thinking of something else to do while they drive the huge dunes.

Michael, we have the power in our 4.2's for sure..... but we just don't have the rev range of a petrol. I did some of the dunes at Atlantis a few years back..... Our motors take a bit of punishment.... but.... I DID IT !!!!!

Cedric, I get what you are saying, we only have about 1,000rpm to work with and if you cant hold it there you are not going to get to the top

BUT.......I am going to try my best and if I have to I will adjust my boost and fuel according to the dune

Don't need to show anybody.... cause i know I did it.... and my mate David and Lawrence ( Sweetlips) and Andre de Goode and Andries were there to share the fun and laughter at my many many attempts to get up some of those dunes.....

But what an awesome experience. I deflated down to .9 bar on those Kumho KL71's and put foot and did my best.

So rumour has it that tyres need to be deflated to 0.5bar for maximum traction on the dunes...... how do you guys feel about that?

with your tyres I agree down to max 0.6 bar..... BUT NO and I repeat, NO SHARP TURNS. Your sidewalls are quite stiff, where with the Kumho's, they balloon beautifully at 0.9 bar and still sit on the rim without any problems. De-beading is your only enemy, gentle turns and power down when straightened up.
