Rob green do great work. My 5 cents is that modifications can be done reliably. If they are engineered and carried out by people who no what they are doing all will be well.
I agree that that 4.8 engine rated a 199 kw needs a little more. I have test driven a few and have always got out of the car disappointed. A few years ago a friend had a GX cruiser with a super charger and it was a beast. He used it to tow his ski boat to moz and it was also fitted by RG. Never had an issue with it.
Do your research well, and get references.

Latest update.
Thank you to all for all the advise and inputs.
RGM came back to me and after a long discussion and a lot of questions , from my side , it seems that
the wise choice would be to not replace the 4.8.
They will supercharger the 4.8 for R107 000 all inclusive , turn key.
Process will take about 6 weeks which includes the importing of the charger itself.
377kw , 687nm and I should gain a bit on fuel consumption, also includes 20 000km /6 month warranty.
Everything is bolt-on and the gearbox will be fine with those figures.

I would suggest that you talk to Tommie about those figures. It might be too much power and torque and may create problems elsewhere in the drivetrain.

I know zip about petrol & superchargers, but I can tell you that those guys at RGM (both Rob and Steve) really know their story, and they run a very proffessional and slick operation. They are also man enough to admit if anything goes wrong from their side and will honour all wormanship without a quibble. The only hasstle is that their work does take time so try not to get too impatient. Good luck!

Ons dink ons het die ratkas reggekry. Jor dit was nie die horsepower wat die box gebreek het nie. Ek en Thys is al 2 van mening dat dit die swak werk was van Auto box. Dit het my baie skoolgeld gekos, maar glo dat ons die box nou reg het.
Tony I would suggest that before you do the supercharger to speak to Thys Ellis. He is a pro on turbos and superchargers. Hi's tel nr is 083 271 6418.
Ok ek het nou "brits" ook probeer skryf. Ons het Yster gaan toets op die duine en jong daai motor is nou ernstig sterk. Thys het onlangs Yster by Peter Frost op die dyno gehad en ons het op kusvlak op die flywheel, 545hp, 408kw en 770nm gekry. En die ratkas hou. Onthou die manne in die ooste het baja meer hp wat hulle uitsit op daardie diffs en ratkas. Ek dink nie ons besef hoe sterk ons Patrols se drivetrain is nie.
