I find this amazing that most (Tjaart especially!!) people assume that the driver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. John's post said they were having a batchelors party, not that the driver was pissed.

The driver had not had one single drink in his body at the time of the accident.

Please get your facts straight before you muke such allegations...

Eish, easy JD, most would assume at a bachelors.

If he didn't , well sad luck, but refer him to these tips next time, because driving on the slipface at 90 degrees to the slope is plain stupid.

AS mens gaan suip en dan ry... Anyway. As jy nie kan ry nie, moenie sulke gevaarlike dinge doen nie. Ek het baie geleer en nie een keer my kar omgemoer nie. 9/10 kere is die ouens onder die prop. En dis hulle wat dit sleg maak vir die res van ONS. En nie jou cruiser of my patrol sou op sy wiele gebly het daar nie...

Its amazing, i am sometimes there twice a month and always see some fool riding WOD direct on slip face. Yes there are people here and on LCCSA that have the balls and expertise and power to do it. But sadly there are the wannabees in diesels nogal who give it a bash.

As John says, the dunes can be very dangerous and can take you out any time. even the best of us.
But not to worry it will carry on.
I helped in recover a Landy 90 at landrover hill , he had a diesel went up and ran out of krag just before the top and decided on a u turn and the rest is history.
He was successfully removed .

Look at the number plate of the disco that was recovering the 90. He went and rolled behind my back the bugger when i was visiting Morne with sand boarding
