To replace the front discs you have to remove the hub and re-pack the bearings. This is a big job! I reckon R2k is pretty reasonable.
As for replacing the rear main oil seal for R2k, that oke is definitely ripping himself off.

Good morning Peter.
Thanks for the light in my doubts.
The garage in general is really well or at least fairly priced, that is why I wondered about the amount.
But your posts explains the problem.
By the way: I imported brakes and discs from Brembo from Germany. They where not too expensive and did fit spot on - every part.

SJC can you send me the detail on the guy you trust to work on your Patrol, my brother works in the Kruger and Graham is a bit far to take his "newly" acquired Patrol all the way to PTA if required - Tx

I am still looking for someone that i can trust with my patrols. Have been to three different guys for different jobs, but not sure i will go back to either of them. There might be better options in nelspruit but i am still looking.

2k for a rear main seal is a bargain....... myne lek nie eers nie en ek wil dit laat doen.
As for the labour on the discs, I dont think its that mutch if you take into account that you have to remove the wheelbearing housings as well

Thanks Michael,
that is what I hoped and expected, I just wasn't sure about the amount of work to do.
So I can have peace regarding the 2K.
