Nissan Patrol 4x4 (Africa)

I have ordered the kit..... apparently there are 2 different kits, and he isn't sure if the suppliers will have those specific rubbers in them, but he says he will make a plan. The kits are around R50, so I told him to get both. For that price I have no problem with only using one, although I'm sure he will return the one I don't use.

Cedric the most difficult and/or irritating bit of the job is getting out all the brake fluid that is in the reservoir. I've recently done the same thing on another vehicle and as hard as I tried to get it all out, I still had brake fluid all over the place when I popped it off . Make sure you've got some protection underneath so you don't damage any paintwork underneath.

Although, since yours has been leaking for a while, never mind, just pull it off

Just wash it off with lots of water. Brake fluid is water soluble.

Yeah. I looked this evening and the paint on the booster just below the master cylinder has wrinkled up already. The body paint still looks ok.... but I washed it down with lots of water anyway !!

Go to the vet of Pharmacy and get the biggest syringe they got for extraction of the fluid....

and don't reuse it to marinade the meat on the spit......

Cedric, those kits are very cheap and the new seals for the reservoir should be in the master cylinder kit.

If it is your caliper leaking (which it sounds like its not the problem any more), just buy both kits so you are not stuck when changing them....they are really very cheap.

Bad new by the look of things..... My spares shop dude just phoned me to tell me the kits are here, but it doesn't look like the reservoir rubber i need is in either of the 2 kits..... damn, I really don't want to go to Nissan for these
