I must be honest, I have not looked at any bakkies, and I do not know what their chassis look like. I also don't know anybody around here with one that I can look at. So I am not sure what (if anything) will fit. Would it be possible for you to take some pictures of the bottom front of your chassis and E-mail them to me?

For those who are interested, this is how they fit, and how the different chassis evolved:

Y60: The hooks at the front of the plate hook into the front of the chassis rails (the longitudinal chassis members). The four holes in the bent tabs at the back of the plate bolt into the holes originally holding the cover plate under the radiator. However some aftermarket bullbars also plug into the front of the chassis, and on these cars the Y61 bash plate must be used (Rudolph)

Y61: On the Y61 models with engines other than the 4.8l, Nissan uses the same Y60 chassis but adds tapering extension pieces which are inserted into the front of the chassis rails and are then welded into place. Fortunately they also added extra tapped holes which we can use to bolt the plate onto.
This bash plate is the same as the Y60 model, except that the hooks are omitted.
This is the plate I designed for Izak (Y61 3l diesel with ARB bull bar). the plate is extended forward and the front edge bolts onto the bottom edge of the ARB bar. I am not sure what model the bar is and if they differ.

4.8: On the 4.8l cars, the forward extensions of the chassis rails are replaced with an additional cross-member, which is immediately forward of where the the original chassis ends. The front edge of the bash plate is now bolted to existing holes in the bottom of this addidtional cross-member.

Just a bit more info, all the plates have points to hook shackles for recovery, and to attach seed nets using the thin bungee cord they come with. Simply hook the knot inside the plate.

Dink jy die punte op die bashplate sal sterk genoeg wees vir 'n recovery?

Mits die plaat duer al agt sy gate met ordentlike high-tensile boude op die kar monteer is, sal daai punte reg wees.

Hi Peter, net gewonder omdat die hoek waarteen die recovery sal plaasvind en die 'shackle' se 'pin' so groot is.

Hoe dik is die staal van die bashplate?
