Bainage, Zululand

Post by Gerrit Loubser »

Since the tragic passing away of Chad Bain late last year the Bainage 4x4 facility outside Empangeni had not seen any real use and had become seriously overgrown. Chad's father wanted to get the track back to a usable state, which is where our own Jules stepped in. He organised a bunch of local 4x4 enthusiasts to go out with vehicles and pangas and open the track up again. It was a fun filled afternoon in the glorious Zululand autumn. Here are some pictures:

Jules' lovely wife tackling the same hill; she handles the GQ with flair.

Imvubu immitating its namesake and splashing into the Mhlatuze river.

Nou ja dit was lekker en die weer was great het amper gevoel of mens innie willetuin is, die Bainage 4x4 roete bied nogals iets van alles, steep incline/decline alhoewel die foto's dit nie reflekteer nie, cross axle articilation, sand driving, river crossing, nice tight corners and a beautiful setting.

As jy stupid is kan jy jou voertuig erg beskadig daar maar as jy normaal ry behoort dit n goeie leerskool te wees, jy kan dit natuurlik moeiliker maak deur die moeilike lyne te kies .

Groete

Ek wil nou nie snaaks wees nie blommie, maar ekke wil ook so 'n Burnco Bumper he. Ek droom al in die nag van 'n Burnco voor bumper maar sonder die A raam.

Dit lyk na 'n baie mooi roete om te ry. Waar in Natal is dit asb.

Groete

Izak
