It is a sad day. Today I spotted a Cream-Coloured GQ wagon being towed by a jeep. This was on the De Kroon road in Brits. I was on my way to the mall to get a birthday gift for the wife. I only hope that the GQ wagon had run out of gas (it seemed to be in very good nick otherwise) as there is a gas station in the corner of the De Kroon road and the R511....

Spotted in Parklands CT.
Lots of stickers but didn't see a Patrol forum one.
Think I should get a few stickers and put them under the windscreen wipers when I see the lesser spotted Nissan Patrol :rolling:

I just got back from a Kaprivi- Botswana trip and spotted quite a few patrols.

The first was a white one with black wheel arches towing a camping trailer in the Chobe Park heading toward the Ngoma gate.
The second was outside Maun the guy was on the side of the road admiring his engine, and then we passed them again admiring his engine. Those 3.0d must have good looking engines!! :rolling: and ended up chatting to them as we met up again in Ghanzi. I pulled into Tautona Lodge and there were 3 patrols all lined up:) 2 4.8 and a 3.0d. The diesel had picked up some wet diesel so he had to stop to drain the fuel trap.
In Windhoek at the Arebbusch Lodge there was a Green 4500.

Spotted a good looking white GU wagon heading North on the R511 on Easter Sunday. About 11am.

It had north-west plates, and I still wanted to see whether it was being driven by someone I know in the area (George or Albert), but then a taxi cut in front of me and I had to focus not to plant my bullbar into the back.

Very, very pretty 4.2 pickup with GP plates in Brits today. White. Aftermarket rear bumper with wheel carrier, roof rack. Very nice. I hung around for a bit hoping to meet the owner, but had to give up eventually. Was a little pressed for time.

Ek het hiedie pragtige patrol gister by die "it's Time" event deur Angus Buchan in Bloemfontein gesien. Hoop hy is hier op die forum. Ek hoop ook daar was n paar ander forum members daar, ongelooflik hoe n miljoen+ mense se verkeer so goed gevloei het.

Charles' (Martyn) white Patrol was in the vistor's parking lot at our offices today. Pinged Tinus to identify the truck, as the old Nissan Offroad Club stickers on the back-rear window were a definite indication that it was probably someone I knew. Tried to get hold of Charles to invite him for a coffee, but without success. :rolling: :rolling:
