Got a bit gatvol for the city life this weekend and decided to head off to buffelsfontein - only and hour to hour 15 min drive from Cape Town. This is what the place looks like:
A fimiliar sign most of us has seen next to the R27
Buffelsfontein's bush camp
Sunset on Buffelsfontein
Buffelsfontein bushcamp at night

And this is Buffelsfontein's grapjas - look at him smiling and very flattered with the camera!!!
This outjie also decided to follows us everywhere we drove - just making sure we "stick to the rules!!!!
Feeding time - but this 20 month old cub rather thought it was playing time!!!!
And then our weekend ended on a very bad note - my son (visiting a friend of his in Wellington) wrote his car off - swerved for a bloody dog running into the gravel road - car started skiding and he lost control. He hit a sandwall and the car flipped - the farm road was also just scraped on Friday so it was extremely dusty and slippery!! Glad soos snot soos hulle se!!! We thank the Lord that fortunately both him and his younger brother are both fine - couple of bruisers and cuts but no severe injuries. The car is a total write off - see what it looks like:
And this photo was taken after we used a highlift jack to "lift" the roof on the passenger side!!
Thank you once again to my good friend and fellow forum member Frans Fourie who assisted in recovering the car back to Cape Town - much appreciated Frans. Nie hoe mens graag n baie lekker en ontspanne naweek wil afsluit nie!!
