Air intake pipe

Post by Alex Roux »

So I had some issues with my air intake pipe after driving lots of bad roads in northern Namibia.
That was a design issue with the conversion.
Too much steel and too little silicon, meant too little flex, which eventually lead to the shearing off of the plastic connecting to the air filter cover.

That is picture 1

Then Tinus offered to help me fix this.
That was this evening's job.

See the "after" view below.
Much more silicon in the pipe, and only bits of the original steel pipe where the silicon is connecting. Leading to generally a lot more flex.

Thanks Tinus!
I have 10 thumbs, and otherwise very dumb with these things.
So that help was worth lot to me.
