Have you read Dirk's (DVR's) ordeal?
This is not for the faint-hearted. From what I could tell, it happened on a long and steep hill. In his case there was mechanical failure, not even driver error. And he rolled all the way down. Lucky to be alive.

Yes, I read the whole story.
But he is taking groups on the route now, and it is lesser vehicle's than Patrols so cant see that it should be a problem.
I have spoken to him and he is willing to take a Patrol contingency some time next year.
