He is under the impression that the steering wheel is a "feature". What worries me more is the home made stuff behind the steering wheel.

Almost thought of looking at it in a moment of weakness but between the stuff behind the steering wheel and the rust I would probably not look at more than R 20 k to R 25 k which would probably land me on the wrong end of "die boer se roer".

Would be interested to hear from Dawid what he thinks it is worth.

Going to ask for more details tonight to see where it goes. I know motor was changed so paperwork may be an issue.

Bugger!!!! Just bought a Land Rover defender yesterday to build into a game viewer, that would have made a perfect one!!!!

So why do you buy a Land Rover Defender when you could have saved yourself a lot of trouble and bought my beaut of a 85 Patrol Game Viewer! It's advertised a few lines down.
Hope you at least had a look at it...

Vehicle is '81. 2.8 Petrol with electronic ignition. In Burgersfort. Seems mechanically sound but has rust and body needs attention. Getting more photo's but Oom does not know how to use email etc. Extended shackles and 10J rims.

When you say rust, how bad is the body's condition? Please let me know what you think of the vehicle. I could use it to change mine back into the real deal!!! 'Cause that one's steering wheel is at least still original.
