This bakkie is going to kak all over a 4.5D4DV8 79 series.

Enjoyed seeing the pics Tinus.

The one thing for me reading many conversion threads on the Auzzie site, is that i never like how messy and unatural they look. But in your case, and Micheals, it looks clean, well thought out, and not messy at all. I like this. If you had to use black piping and show someone from the public, they wouldnt even know that you had done all that work. thats when you know youve done a good job. Lekker man!

Russ i wanted to buy black pipes but couldnt get it all in black.....then i tried red and the red was also short a bend or two....so i had to settle on blue ....mabe its micheals trade mark blue silicone pipes....lol
Once i fit the grill and bull bar back one can not see any pipes ...

hahaha, classic!

RE: Blue piping - what i meant was that its such a neat job if it were black no one would tell there's been a huge modification to the engine bay. Piping looks good regardless the colour bud. Def Micheals trademark blue!

The pickup handles a full load very well in my opinion.

2 Questions:

What size tyres are you running on it?

Are you going to do a custom 75mm / 100mm snorkel on it ? i believe it makes a difference opening up that intake to get more air to the box

Well the bakkie won't get lost that easily anymore.
The risk of theft on the Patrol bakkie is next to nothing.
