Re: Project "LASARUS"
Dankie Oom Mac. Ek het intussen my probleem opgelos en aan my kant staan die saak tans so:
DIS 'N GEGEWE!
Ek sal hopelik vandag 'n "update" kan plaas oor Lasarus se herlewing.
Groetnis.

Re: Project "LASARUS"
Just a quick update on Lasarus since the heart & soul transplant is done. Attie is almost finished with all the final stitches covering up the wounds so that no scar remains evident afterwards.
1. The gearbox control valve's replacement was the last substantial challenge. Keep in mind that the thief than pinched the original control valve did cut the wiring to the valve instead of just unplug it. The wiring diagram on the manual CD I got from Herrie unfortunately does not show the gearbox wiring adequetly since it is more of a trouble shoot manual than a construction manual. We managed to buy a detail manual via the internet. The document even includes colour pictures of the delicate control valve wiring. DONE!!!!! (I will re-visit the manual issue on the forum later.)
2. The radiator cowling sub project is finished at now combines the bigger 3.0D radiator with the 4.8 fan placement, which is different from the diesel. Simultaniously the radiator- and aircon piping modifications is done and fitted.
What next? Attie takes a view in his work that he does not start the engine unless absolutely everything ito the entire transplant on the vehicle is finished and all the electrics is working as if the car leaves the Nissan factory for it's virgin ride. Therefore, he is busy with a final inspection from bumper to bumper before early next week when he will resussitate Lasarus start breathing. The only small casualty that we are aware of, is the right front window swith that fails, probably because of missuse while the battery was almost flat. (any loose switches lying around??) Attie claims the first 300km to himself as part of the pre-delivery inspection. In the process I had my BURNCO front bumper re-sprayed and it still needs to be fitted. Lasarus will also undergo a valet and polish before delivery, which will hopefully be in a weeks time.
I will sit down with Attie and compile a thourouh technical report on the entire transplant. I need it for future maintenance on Lasarus. I will convert it into a project report, including pictures, for all on the forum to view. Please hold you thumbs on my behalf this week.

JG,
