Camp & 4x4 27 April - 2May 2016

Ok I want some input into this one - Please!!!!

As per the dates below this can be anything from a 3 day long weekend to a 6 day break away...... NOT within a school holiday thought
So most probably from the Friday afternoon till the Monday if we keep it close to Gauteng.

Apr 27 - Wednesday Freedom Day
May 1 - Sunday Workers' Day
May 2 - Monday Workers' Day observed Public Holiday

Now I now that we are not a "social" club thus there must be 4x4 involvement in a Patrol trip

However I was thinking of doing a camp weekend with the option of a 4x4 trail for the interested parties.

So how about looking at camping around the Brits/Rustenburg area - lots of camping place with all the niceties for the kids and there is a few trails we can look at:
4x4 routes
de Wildt
At se Gat
Moegatle
Karee Krans

Camp spots
Dube
HartbeesHoek
Hartbeespoort Holiday resort
etc

Only thing is as it is a long weekend we will need to look at booking early in the new year.

Or how about the Dinokeng area, 4x4 comm is going out there for their xmas GTG number of good 4x4 routs that side as well, the game reserve is now open to the public 85km of roads so could do a game drive as well??

I like the denokeng idea but where are we gonna 4x4 ?
