Full Old Man Emu OME 2 inch lift kit

Post by NMAD »

Hello all

I just got a 2007 Nissan Patrol GRX4.8 with low kilos :woo:

I have a full standard ome suspension lift kit for a nissan patrol. It's for the current patrol ie 1997 to current. The kit has 4 nitro sport gas shocks, 4 ome coils springs , 1 ome steering damper , 4 caster bushes. It will give your patrol a 2 inch lift or about 5 cm. I bought the patrol with it installed and it also came with the stock nissan suspension which I have now put on my patrol as I could not fit the patrol in my garage with the ome lift on. 4x4 mega world capetown removed the ome suspension and they said it was in a good condition . Asking r10 000 or nearest cash offer, new kit costs over R19 000.The kit is with me in CapeTown.

It also had 285 BF goodrich which didn't help with the height problem , so sold them and got standard sized tyres and dropped about a total of 7 cm in height with stock suspension so its fitting nicely in the garage now :woo:

What is your plan with your Patrol? Daily driver, overlander or trail? Because if you intend any of the last 2, you are going to regret getting rid of those goodies
I am with Pieter on this one, or built a carport.

It's the roof that doesn't fit, not the wheels! :rolling:

All of the above

The patrol felt a bit hard with the OME on and it was cheaper to put the nissan shocks and springs on than having to raise my garage roof

I checked what type of springs they are and they are the 0 to 200kg medium springs front and back but I like my 4x4 to rock and roll a bit but will test it offroad

I really am loving this patrol such a nice highway drive and it feels unstoppable, going to take it offroad tomorrow........

Hi NMAD. Very keen. Please give me dibs aka first option. The thing is, I've got a 95 Patrol. Tinus had mentioned though that the suspension on yours is exactly the same as mine so that should mean they compatible?

Hi DMH

I am not sure if they are the same, I would call 4x4 mega world and double check to just make sure its the same.
