ZD30 Inlet pressure versus Outlet pressure

After chatting to Brian at Madman about my EGT's being too high, he made a valid point about the inlet pressure and outlet pressure and what it should be in the ZD30 engine. With the Landys he tries to get an optional 1:1, but some engines do better with a different ratio - anyone know what the optimum for our vehcles should be??
