I will have to make a plan to get it to Dr G.

Currently in Botswana and not sure when heading back that way, but I will have a gander at the pump itself.
Maybe even try to get a copy of the receipt from the repairer.

My Patrol idles unevenly and stutters through all revs so it would be a safe bet to say it is either pump, injectors or spark or even a combination of some.
Can't wait to have her running smooth again.

Due to the high miles there is a couple of things that need attention, brakes, transmission and some electronics but still happy I bought this absolute beast of a motor. Would not buy anything else with that kind of miles on the dial.
Tertius. Get hold of Graham and get him to courier you the correct pump and fuel filter. You will not be able to tell the difference between the correct and incorrect ones and even Nissan will happily supply you with the incorrect one. Mine was replaced with a genuine Nissan one from Nissan and it was wrong.

Dude it sounds to me that you need a new set of plug leads......
Just bite the bullet and come this way....dr G has all the stuff you need in stock ....also the correct diagnostic tools to fix the problem. ....you dont want to buy a pump if its the maf ect...let him give your patrol a once over check and then you know what you can fix yourself later ect

Hi Gents,
I had the same problem with SACircus fitting,
The 'resonating air box', that square thing in the air line after the filter burnt through the bottom and SUCKS AIR IN.
The air flow control valve cannot control the air and then stutters.
I have just cut that thing right out and much better no trouble.

Hope you have come right!

I also travel plenty to Bots should meet for a cold one!

Watch out for serious long term damage due to incorrect air / fuel mixture. That box was there for a very good reason. Talk to Graham. He can explain the consequences.
