Dirk

I noticed that there are two trips being organised by the 4x4 Community forum...

How family friendly is this?
We do not mind camping in the wold and making our own toilet in the ground, but is it generallly done by families, of men only?

Went with the community guys last year - big group of aprx 20 vehicles, would definately prefer a smaller group of more "like mided people"

Everybody is welcome, we had pre-schoolers, skoolkids, and wife's on the trip, so if they dont mind the zero facilities they are welcome.

The guy with the small kids brought along one of those pop up cubicles and used that as an ablution for the kids so that they dont need to walk into the veld away from the camp and lights. Another guy got in his car every time and drove his wife away from camp for privacy.

As long as the kids stick close to camp at night there should be no problem at all.

Only problem this year is that there is no long weekend in AUG so the kids might need to skip a day or two of school.

If so, which reserves?

No, the only animals we will encounter are Donkies and Cattle.
Just a case of pich dark so if one moves away to far from camp the small kids might get lost.
