Re: Do you know me
Hi Frans, also can't get into the link, but from my point of view I would stick to the standard motor, don't see the need to swop to a lexus motor

Re: Do you know me
I am also currently looking and from the same site I would rather look at:
http://www.automart.co.za/cars/for-sale ... 43452?cs=3
or
(depending on km)
http://www.automart.co.za/cars/for-sale ... 92667?cs=3
I have been scouring the web for the past week or so looking at prices options etc. and both these seem to be in the ballpark and original.

Re: Do you know me
The GQ with the lexus was Malcolm van Coller's car. MVColler both here and on SA4x4 Community.
As far as I know, that car has been through about three gearboxes since the transplant, and he battled to get all the instruments working, I don't know if he ever got that right.
A well-done Lexus conversion will be awesome on the road and in sand, less so in the rocks (still good, but not as good as the original engine). But a good conversion is very expensive, so most people cut corners. Check any such car very carefully before you buy.

Nee Kobus nee

http://www.patrol4x4.co.za/viewtopic.ph ... urn#p48381
