Post by David M »

I have fitted new OME to my '99 4,5 so have the following for sale.

Front and rear Bilstein gas shocks which where serviced less than a year and 6 000 km ago.
Seal packs, oil and o rings for the dividing pistons replaced and units re gassed.
Front = F4 – BE5 – 6043 – HO, Typ 10
Rear = F4 – BE5 – 6041 – HO, Typ 24

R 3000-00

Mikem rear progressive coils which are less than a year and 6 000 km old.

R 800-00

Also have front coils (probably original Nissan) and steering damper which is original Nissan and are probably 15 yrs and 180 000 km old.

Damper free to person buying shocks and coils free to person buying the rear coils.

HI I am interested in the Shocks, was going to fit 2 OME to the back of my Patrol within this week as an interim fix.
Can you let me know why you replaced the Billsteins with the OME.
Secondly will you sell only the back 2 separate?

Went for OME mainly for the springs but not a great fan of mixing and matching so went the whole hog including steering damper and the fitting kit for the rear anti roll bar. Did not need castor correction.

Went 50 to 100 kg springs on front as I plan on fitting a bullbar and winch in the next couple of months,

Went 400 kg springs on the back as I am busy with a packing system and have a 100 l fridge freezer, 2 deep cycle batteries, aux tank is 20 l more than standard and am planning on double spare wheel carrier at the back.

At the moment without the weight it is like driving an old SFA Hilux but put almost 200 kg in the back last weekend and it was a lot better so I reckon once correctly loaded it will be great.

Arno - I replied to your pm but it won't leave my outbox. Please give me a call on 0seven32double587eight1.
