Peter Connan wrote:Alex, this is not meant to disparage you or your Lexus, but this is opne of the areas of the PAtrol that I really admire: the detail that Nissan engineers went to (and the success they achieved) to minimize the potential effect of water in the engine bay.
Peter, as always, I respect your views and it is not disparaging. Thanks! Nissan certainly did get a few things right. Also, I do not want to re-open a now-tired debate on the Lexus. But in my case, if Nissan were really that thorough in all respects of their designs, I would not have had to undergo an engine replacement in the first place.

Oom Mac remains a die hard fan of the ZD30. That is his prerogative. But I could seriously never ever trust that poor excuse of an engine again (spark plugs, or no spark plugs). The stats speak for themselves. It is just common sense talking and I certainly do not regret having been pragmatic.

Back on topic: Is there really no place anyone knows of in Jhb where one can get one's chassis properly cleaned?

Hi All,

I am probably lucky in this regard, I have a play pit (chimes) about 3km from my house, and a cleaning pit about 500m from my house.

Ai, dis lekker hier in Kommin Land (Benoni)

Yes, perhaps combine it with the option to regrease the universals?
I would prefer Midrand- but any residential area may be more visible and therefore I think successful.
But if you brand it specifically as a 4x4 chassis & valet?....I think there is a real gap.
