Did Chuck's sliders with
Duram's Premium 88 Stone Chip. Easy to touch up, and sticks to metal like you won't believe. It's a water-based acrylic, and you don't even need to prime the surfaces before application. You can apply it with a spray gun, brush or roller and it's not difficult to get a "splatter" effect that helps prevent foot slippages when the sliders are wet/muddy.

Can't imagine that a mix of paints or a layer of clear coat will work well?
