Hi GUys, can anybody tell me what is the black box bolted on the side of the chassis under the front passenger side of 4500 petrol?

It is a joint connector - check page EL-340/EL-341 in the manual.

I did not open it to see what it look like inside but I have been through water a lot and never had any problems so it must be properly connected.

Toyford, I got a Max Ellery manual from Kalahari. I think it was about R 400.
