Anyone looking for a bit of everything on a trail, the top loop on matroosberg is it! :layrubber: The rain has made it nice and Patrol friendly.. :biggrin: Oh yes :wink: do the loop clockwise. Wrongway! :tease:

Matroosberg offers a lot, it has become expensive though. Most people ever only does Matroosberg when it snows. It is however a very nice route to do in the dry. The top circular route is challenging enough and execellent camping is available on top.

I dont think too many people are going to take their R400000 vehicle up there, unless they are on maintenance :doh: plan of course :salute:

Ian, went up there in the Patrol still stock standard. Got a few knocks on the running boards but appart from that it was a walk in the park.

It was however not quite that easy for the Defender that went with :rolleyes:

Jacques, I actually prefer Matroosberg in the dry. Beautiful views and a nice trail.

Agree!! :salute: Lovely campsite in the Dennebos & the views (and route) up there is awesome! :thumbup:

Winter too crowdy, too wet & slippery, poor vision, limited access, etc.

Bottom line = An absoute GREAT 4x4 trail...!! :woo:
