Central Locking!

Post by DawidT »

Guys, could you please give some advice? My 2011, Patrol 4800 GRX (Petrol) went in for a bullbar. Got it back on Friday but now my central locking is not working properly. When locking / unlocking the car, only the LHS rear door lock / unlock. I assume it is a programable system. How do I go about to re-programme / fix the system?

Hi Dawid

When you disconnect, make sure it remains disconnected for at least 20 minutes (perhaps 30 minutes just to be sure).
This will allow the car's computer to have a complete shut down.
You will know it has shut down completely if you need to re-enter the radio pass code.

I spoke to Ben and he says the time that he had the battery disconnected was too short and it was not necessary to re-enter the pass code.
That may have resulted in a partial shut down which can make the system a little "deurmekaar".

Thanks Alex, I spoke to Adrean and he told me to take it to Nissan. It sometimes happen that the coding / programming gets a little deurmekaar. Recons it is less than 5mins to fix on computer. I had the battery disconnected for the whole night but no success. Taking it in this morning to see if they will help.
How is your new bumper looking?
